Labuhan APBS, Kamis, 12 September 2024 - Sebuah insiden kebakaran terjadi di ruang mesin kapal TB. KSD 39/TK. Soekawati 2705, jenis Tug Boat, pada Kamis, 12 September 2024. Kapal yang berlayar di bawah bendera Indonesia ini tengah berada di Area Labuh APBS saat kebakaran melanda.
Kapal TB. KSD 39, yang dinakhodai oleh Ardy Triyono Padondan, berangkat dari Pelabuhan Satui dengan tujuan Pelabuhan Semen Tonasa Biringkasi. Kapal ini memiliki tonase 147 GT dan diawaki oleh 10 orang. Agen yang bertanggung jawab atas kapal ini adalah PT. Pelayaran Batamitra Sejahtera/PT. Varia Usaha Lintas Segara.
Kebakaran bermula saat teknisi kapal berusaha melepas baut manifol di ruang mesin. Baut yang sangat keras mengharuskan dilakukan titik las untuk mempermudah pelepasan. Namun, ketika teknisi kembali mencoba membuka baut, tiba-tiba muncul kobaran api dari got ruang mesin. Tim di kapal segera menggunakan alat pemadam kebakaran (APAR), namun api semakin membesar, sehingga mereka menghubungi agen kapal untuk meminta bantuan. Proses pemadaman api dilakukan oleh KT Jayanegara 203 dan kapal Patroli P 50015 sehingga pada pukul 16.05 api berhasil dipadamkan.
Beruntung, insiden ini tidak menimbulkan korban jiwa. Tidak ada awak kapal yang terluka dalam kebakaran ini. Selain itu, tidak ada dampak negatif terhadap penumpang, muatan, atau lingkungan sekitar. Ruang mesin mengalami kerusakan, namun keseluruhan kapal tidak mengalami kerusakan parah.

TB. KSD 39, captained by Ardy Triyono Padondan, had departed from Satui Port en route to Semen Tonasa Biringkasi Port. The ship, with a gross tonnage of 147 GT, was crewed by 10 personnel. The agent responsible for the vessel is PT. Pelayaran Batamitra Sejahtera/PT. Varia Usaha Lintas Segara.
The fire started when a technician was attempting to remove a manifold bolt in the engine room. Due to the extreme difficulty of loosening the bolt, welding was applied to aid in its removal. However, as the technician tried to unscrew the bolt again, flames suddenly erupted from the engine room’s bilge. The crew immediately attempted to extinguish the fire using portable fire extinguishers (APAR), but the flames grew larger, prompting them to contact the ship's agent for further assistance. The fire extinguishing process was carried out by KT Jayanegara 203 and Patrol Boat P 50015, and by 16:05, the fire was successfully extinguished.
Fortunately, no lives were lost in this incident. None of the crew members were injured in the fire. Additionally, there were no negative effects on passengers, cargo, or the surrounding environment. While the engine room sustained damage, the rest of the vessel remained largely intact.
