Sabang, 27 Juli 2024 - Pada hari Sabtu, 27 Juli 2024, terjadi insiden Man Over Board (MOB) melibatkan seorang penumpang dari kapal KMP Aceh Hebat 2. Kapal KMP Aceh Hebat 2 berangkat dr pelabuhan Ulee Lheue menuju pelabuhan Balohan Sabang selat Benggala. pada pukul 11.15 WIB.
Menurut laporan, insiden terjadi di alur pelabuhan Ulee Lheue dengan koordinat 05° 34' 54" N dan 095° 17' 48" E. Korban, yang bernama Akmal, berusia 24 tahun dan berasal dari Jantho, jatuh ke laut dan berhasil dievakuasi pada pukul 11.35 WIB. Evakuasi dilakukan oleh tim SAR dan boat nelayan setempat.
Saat ini, Akmal dalam keadaan selamat dan berada di kapal KMP Aceh Hebat 2. Kapal tersebut telah melanjutkan perjalanan menuju Pelabuhan Balohan, Sabang, dengan estimasi waktu kedatangan (ETA) pada pukul 13.15 WIB.

Sabang, July 27, 2024 - On Saturday, July 27, 2024, a Man Overboard (MOB) incident occurred involving a passenger from the vessel KMP Aceh Hebat 2. The KMP Aceh Hebat 2 departed from Ulee Lheue Port en route to Balohan Port, Sabang, in the Bengal Strait at 11:15 WIB.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the channel of Ulee Lheue Port with coordinates 05° 34' 54" N and 095° 17' 48" E. The victim, named Akmal, a 24-year-old from Jantho, fell into the sea and was successfully rescued at 11:35 WIB. The rescue operation was carried out by the local SAR team and fishing boats.
Currently, Akmal is safe and on board KMP Aceh Hebat 2. The vessel has continued its journey to Balohan Port, Sabang, with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) at 13:15 WIB.
