Tanjung Balai Karimun, Senin (6/1/2024) – Sebuah insiden Man Over Board (MOB) terjadi di perairan Tanjung Balai Karimun pada Senin pagi, mengakibatkan enam orang berhasil diselamatkan sementara tiga lainnya masih dalam pencarian.
Insiden ini pertama kali dilaporkan oleh kapal tanker kimia berbendera Liberia, MT. NAVIG8 GUARD, pada pukul 07.26 waktu setempat. Berdasarkan informasi yang diterima RCC BASARNAS melalui Stasiun Radio Pantai (SROP) Tanjung Balai Karimun, terdapat enam orang korban terlihat terapung di laut di koordinat Lat 01-06.83N Long 103-31.88E.
Tindakan Cepat dan Koordinasi VTS Batam
Menindaklanjuti laporan tersebut, VTS Batam segera mengeluarkan Notice to Mariners (NTM) pada pukul 08.36 untuk memberi peringatan kepada kapal-kapal di sekitar lokasi kejadian. Pukul 09.01, kapal MT. NAVIG8 GUARD mengonfirmasi bahwa enam korban telah berhasil diselamatkan dan berada di atas kapal.
Kapal patroli KNP 352 dari Tanjung Balai Karimun dan kapal kelas lima dari Pangkalan Penjagaan Laut dan Pantai (PLP) segera dikerahkan menuju lokasi kejadian untuk membantu evakuasi. Pada pukul 10.58, kapal perang TNI AL KRI SIWAR 646 melaporkan bahwa enam korban telah dipindahkan ke atas kapal dan dievakuasi ke LANAL Tanjung Balai Karimun.
Korban Selamat dan Upaya Pencarian Lanjutan
Enam korban yang selamat menerima perawatan medis di Unit Kesehatan LANAL Tanjung Balai Karimun. Sementara itu, pencarian tiga korban yang masih hilang terus dilakukan dengan melibatkan berbagai unsur, termasuk KRI Alamang 644, Speedboat SAR, dan KNP 352.
VTS Batam kembali memancarkan Notice to Mariners pada pukul 14.29 untuk memastikan kewaspadaan kapal-kapal yang melintas di area pencarian.

Tanjung Balai Karimun, Monday (6/1/2024) – A Man Overboard (MOB) incident occurred in the waters of Tanjung Balai Karimun on Monday morning, resulting in six people being rescued while three others remain missing.
The incident was first reported by the Liberian-flagged chemical tanker, MT. NAVIG8 GUARD, at 07:26 local time. According to information received by RCC BASARNAS through the Tanjung Balai Karimun Shore Radio Station (SROP), six individuals were spotted adrift at Lat 01-06.83N Long 103-31.88E.
Quick Response and Coordination by VTS Batam
Responding to the report, VTS Batam promptly issued a Notice to Mariners (NTM) at 08:36 to alert vessels in the vicinity of the incident. By 09:01, MT. NAVIG8 GUARD confirmed that six victims had been successfully rescued and were on board the tanker.
The Tanjung Balai Karimun patrol vessel, KNP 352, and a Class V vessel from the Sea and Coast Guard Base (PLP) were immediately dispatched to the scene to assist with the evacuation. At 10:58, the Indonesian Navy vessel KRI SIWAR 646 reported that the six survivors had been transferred onboard and were being evacuated to the Naval Base in Tanjung Balai Karimun (LANAL TBK).
Survivors and Ongoing Search Efforts
The six survivors received medical treatment at the LANAL TBK Health Unit. Meanwhile, the search for the three missing individuals continues with the involvement of various assets, including KRI Alamang 644, SAR speedboats, and KNP 352.
VTS Batam issued another Notice to Mariners at 14:29 to ensure the awareness of passing vessels in the search area.
