Banjarmasin – Kapal penumpang KM Dharma Kartika II mengalami insiden tabrakan dengan tongkang Bomas Galante pada Kamis pagi, 5 Juni 2025, saat berlayar keluar dari Muara Banjarmasin menuju Surabaya. Peristiwa terjadi sekitar pukul 07.58 WITA pada koordinat 03°36.800' S dan 114°28.800' E.
Kejadian bermula ketika KM Dharma Kartika II, dengan didampingi pandu Capt. Efendi Sutiono (No. Punggung 254), berkomunikasi dengan TB MBP 3208 dan TB Bomas Galante untuk meminta agar kapal-kapal tersebut berpindah ke jalur 2 Barat (sekitar 36 meter dari AS track). Meski nakhoda telah mengurangi kecepatan, posisi TB MBP 3208 tetap berada terlalu dekat di jalur 1 Barat (18 meter), menyebabkan tongkangnya jatuh ke jalur 1 Timur.
Untuk menghindari tabrakan, nakhoda KM Dharma Kartika II mengarahkan kapal ke jalur 3 Timur dengan manuver mesin kiri pelan dan kanan setengah. Namun, sekitar pukul 07.57 WITA, haluan kapal sempat menyenggol tebing sisi timur dan terpental ke arah barat, mendekati posisi tongkang Bomas Galante yang hanya berjarak sekitar dua kabel (370 meter) dari TB MBP 3208. Jarak tersebut tidak memungkinkan kapal bermanuver zigzag, sehingga meskipun upaya penyetopan dan pembalikan mesin dilakukan, tabrakan tidak dapat dihindari.
Setelah lepas dari tongkang, kapal melanjutkan pelayaran menuju area tunggu (rede) OB Taboneo dan berlabuh pada pukul 08.46 WITA untuk dilakukan pengecekan. Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan adanya kerusakan pada lambung bagian atas garis air di area haluan kapal (bow visor).
Meski mengalami kerusakan ringan, kondisi kapal dinyatakan tetap aman untuk melanjutkan pelayaran menuju Surabaya guna menjalani perbaikan lebih lanjut.

Banjarmasin – The passenger vessel KM Dharma Kartika II was involved in a collision with the Bomas Galante barge on the morning of Thursday, June 5, 2025, while sailing out of the Banjarmasin Estuary en route to Surabaya. The incident occurred at approximately 07:58 Central Indonesia Time (WITA), at coordinates 03°36.800' S and 114°28.800' E.
The incident began when KM Dharma Kartika II, under the guidance of pilot Capt. Efendi Sutiono (ID No. 254), communicated with tugboats TB MBP 3208 and TB Bomas Galante, requesting them to shift to the 2 West track (approximately 36 meters from the AS track). Despite the captain having reduced the vessel's speed, TB MBP 3208 remained too close in the 1 West track (18 meters), causing its barge to veer into the 1 East track.
To avoid a collision, the captain of KM Dharma Kartika II steered the vessel to the 3 East track using slow speed on the port engine and half speed on the starboard engine. However, at around 07:57 WITA, the bow of the vessel brushed against the eastern embankment and ricocheted westward, approaching the position of the Bomas Galante barge, which was approximately two cables (about 370 meters) from TB MBP 3208. The limited distance left no room for evasive zigzag maneuvers, and although the captain attempted to stop and reverse the engines to reduce the impact, the collision could not be avoided.
After clearing from the barge, the vessel proceeded to the OB Taboneo anchorage area and dropped anchor at 08:46 WITA for an inspection. The examination revealed damage to the hull above the waterline, specifically in the bow visor area.
Despite the minor damage, the vessel was deemed seaworthy and safe to continue its voyage to Surabaya for further repairs.
