Pada hari Selasa, 24 Desember 2024, sekitar pukul 04.35 WIT, speed boat Buton Indah bertolak dari Pelabuhan Sofifi, Terminal Speed Boat, dengan tujuan Pelabuhan Mangga Dua, Ternate. Kapal tersebut membawa 16 penumpang dalam kondisi cuaca cerah, dengan ombak berkisar antara 0-0.25 meter.
Saat berada di sekitar perairan Tidore, tepatnya di depan Kampung Akesahu dengan koordinat 0°45'52" N / 127°28'49" E, sekitar pukul 05.04 WIT, speed boat Buton Indah tidak melihat keberadaan kapal KM Tujuh Putri 22, sehingga terjadi tabrakan pada lambung kiri KM Tujuh Putri 22.
Setelah kejadian, nakhoda speed boat Buton Indah segera memeriksa kondisi kapal dan menemukan robekan pada haluan kanan atas lambung kapal. Nakhoda juga memeriksa 16 penumpang dan memastikan tidak ada yang terluka. Selanjutnya, nakhoda menghubungi pemilik kapal atas nama Wahid untuk meminta bantuan pertolongan. Peristiwa ini diduga disebabkan oleh kapal yang tidak dilengkapi alat navigasi untuk digunakan saat berlayar pada malam hari serta kondisi perairan yang berombak
Meskipun mengalami kerusakan pada lambung kapal, nakhoda melanjutkan perjalanan dan tiba di Pelabuhan Mangga Dua, Ternate, sekitar pukul 06.40 WIT dalam kondisi semua penumpang dan awak kapal selamat.

On Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at approximately 04:35 WIT, the Buton Indah speed boat departed from Sofifi Port, Speed Boat Terminal, heading towards Mangga Dua Port in Ternate. The boat was carrying 16 passengers, and the weather was clear with waves ranging between 0-0.25 meters.
While in the waters around Tidore, specifically in front of Akesahu Village at coordinates 0°45'52" N / 127°28'49" E, at around 05:04 WIT, the Buton Indah speed boat did not spot the KM Tujuh Putri 22, resulting in a collision on the left side of KM Tujuh Putri 22.
Following the incident, the captain of the Buton Indah speed boat immediately inspected the condition of the vessel and found a tear on the upper right bow of the boat. The captain also checked the 16 passengers, confirming that none were injured. The captain then contacted the ship owner, Wahid, to request assistance. The incident is suspected to have been caused by the boat’s lack of navigation equipment for night-time sailing and the wave conditions.
Despite the damage to the boat's hull, the captain continued the journey and arrived at Mangga Dua Port in Ternate at approximately 06:40 WIT, with all passengers and crew members safe.
