Tongkang BG Kaltim FT 3608 Kandas Di Perairan Tersus PT LMI Akibat Cuaca Buruk / Barge BG Kaltim FT 3608 Runs Aground In PT LMI Waters Due To Severe Weather

Tanjung Pakis, 7 Desember 2024 – Sebuah insiden kecelakaan kapal menimpa tongkang BG Kaltim FT 3608 di perairan Tersus PT LMI pada Jumat, 6 Desember 2024, sekitar pukul 13.00 WIB. Tongkang berbendera Indonesia dengan GT 13.250 ini kandas bersama muatan batu small crushed stone akibat cuaca buruk yang melanda wilayah tersebut.

Kronologi Kejadian

Berdasarkan laporan awal dari Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan (KSOP) Kelas III Tanjung Pakis, insiden bermula saat TB Kaltim Dolphin 10-09 menarik TK Kaltim FT 3608 dari Jetty 4 Terum Lamongan Shorbase menuju kolam Tersus PT LMI untuk berlindung dari cuaca buruk. Sebelum memasuki kolam, tongkang sempat menurunkan jangkar untuk menahan posisi.

Namun, ketika tongkang mendekati kolam PT LMI, kondisi angin kencang dan gelombang tinggi tiba-tiba terjadi. TB Kaltim Dolphin 10-09 tidak mampu menahan tongkang, sehingga BG Kaltim FT 3608 hanyut dan akhirnya kandas di sebelah timur kolam pada pukul 13.00 WIB. Saat kandas, haluan tongkang menghadap ke barat dan buritan ke timur.

Dampak dan Kerugian

  • Korban jiwa: Tidak ada.
  • Pencemaran: Muatan batu small crushed stone tumpah ke laut.
  • Total kerugian: Masih dalam proses pendataan.

Tindakan yang Dilakukan

KSOP Kelas III Tanjung Pakis telah mengambil langkah-langkah awal, termasuk:

  1. Berkoordinasi dengan keagenan kapal.
  2. Melakukan pengumpulan informasi terkait insiden.
  3. Meminta bantuan dari Pertamina untuk mengirimkan TB Ratu Harbour guna mengamankan tongkang yang kandas.

Saat ini, posisi BG Kaltim FT 3608 dinyatakan relatif aman dan tidak bergerak. Penanganan lebih lanjut sedang dilakukan oleh KSOP Tanjung Pakis bersama pihak terkait.

Tanjung Pakis, December 7, 2024 – A maritime accident occurred involving the barge BG Kaltim FT 3608 in the waters of PT LMI on Friday, December 6, 2024, at approximately 1:00 PM WIB. The Indonesian-flagged barge, with a gross tonnage of 13,250, ran aground along with its cargo of small crushed stone due to adverse weather conditions in the area.

Chronology of the Incident

According to an initial report from the Port Authority and Harbor Master Office (KSOP) Class III Tanjung Pakis, the incident began when the tugboat TB Kaltim Dolphin 10-09 was towing the barge BG Kaltim FT 3608 from Jetty 4 at Terum Lamongan Shorebase to PT LMI’s basin to seek shelter from severe weather. Before entering the basin, the barge anchored temporarily to stabilize its position.

However, as the barge approached the PT LMI basin, sudden strong winds and high waves struck the area. The tugboat TB Kaltim Dolphin 10-09 was unable to maintain control, causing the barge BG Kaltim FT 3608 to drift and eventually run aground east of the basin at around 1:00 PM WIB. At the time of grounding, the bow of the barge was facing west, while the stern faced east.

Impact and Losses

  • Casualties: None.
  • Pollution: Small crushed stone cargo spilled into the sea.
  • Total Losses: Currently under assessment.

Actions Taken

KSOP Class III Tanjung Pakis has taken the following initial steps:

  1. Coordinating with the ship’s agent.
  2. Collecting information related to the incident.
  3. Requesting assistance from Pertamina to deploy the tugboat TB Ratu Harbour to secure the grounded barge.

As of now, the position of BG Kaltim FT 3608 is reported to be relatively stable and not moving. Further handling is being carried out by KSOP Tanjung Pakis in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
