Taboneo, 05 Desember 2024 – TB. BINA 208 tenggelam pada pukul 10.30 LT di wilayah perairan Taboneo pada posisi 03°43.226’ S - 114°25.305’ E dengan kronologi sebagai berikut
Sekitar pukul 10.00 LT, ABK tugas jaga di anjungan namun pada pukul 10.15 LT Chief officer dapatkan kapal sudah miring ke kanan sekitar 5º kanan sampai dengan 10°. Kemudian chief officer turun ke mess room dan kamar ABK untuk instruksikan seluruh crew agar berkumpul dianjungan dan muster station sembari mengambil life jacket dan life bouy.
Kemudian contact ke FC.ASL 6 dan TB. Daniel untuk meminta pertolongan Channel 77, kemudian chief officer standby channel 12&16. setelah chief officer selesai memanggil TB. Daniel datang untuk evakuasi. Sekitar pukul 10.30 LT. TB. Daniel bergerak ke posisi TB. Bina 208 yang sudah tenggelam, dimana crew TB. Bina 208 sudah berada diatas air dan kapal sudah tenggelam. Dokumen kapal ada di agent Pelayaran selesai evakuasi pukul 11.10 LT seluruh crew TB. Bina 208 yang berjumlah 10 ABK berhasil diselamatkan di TB. Daniel. Dugaan penyebab tenggelamnya TB. BINA 208 yaitu dari faktor alam cuaca buruk dan arus kuat

Taboneo, December 5, 2024 – TB. BINA 208 sank at 10:30 LT in the Taboneo area at position 03°43.226’ S - 114°25.305’ E with the following chronology:
At approximately 10:00 LT, the crew member on duty was on watch in the bridge. However, at 10:15 LT, the Chief Officer noticed that the vessel had listed to the right by approximately 5º to 10º. The Chief Officer then went down to the mess room and crew cabins to instruct all crew members to gather at the bridge and muster station, taking along life jackets and life buoys.
The Chief Officer contacted FC.ASL 6 and TB. Daniel via Channel 77 to request assistance while also standing by on Channels 12 and 16. After the Chief Officer finished making the calls, TB. Daniel arrived to carry out the evacuation.
At around 10:30 LT, TB. Daniel moved to the position of TB. BINA 208, which had already sunk. The crew of TB. BINA 208 were found in the water, as the vessel had completely submerged. Ship documents were with the shipping agent.
The evacuation was completed at 11:10 LT, and all 10 crew members of TB. BINA 208 were successfully rescued and brought aboard TB. Daniel. The suspected cause of TB. BINA 208's sinking was natural factors, including bad weather and strong currents.
