Once beached, the vessel listed to the left, causing the Chief Engineer (KKM) to panic and jump into the sea without a life jacket. The remaining crew members quickly attempted to rescue the Chief Engineer by jumping into the sea with a lifebuoy. However, the strong currents prevented them from finding the victim.
The search for the missing crew member is still ongoing by the rescue team.
