Pada hari Rabu, 25 September 2024 pukul 12.05 WITA, TB TRUST 72 bersama dengan gandengannya, BG TRUSTLINE 306, berangkat dari Pulau Sebuku menuju Labuan Uki (Lolak). Kapal tongkang yang memuat bijih besi dan tanah merah dengan total kargo sebesar 6.875.515 MT dinyatakan layak laut saat keberangkatan.

Namun, dalam perjalanan, terdeteksi adanya perubahan kondisi pada tongkang yang tampak miring ke kanan. Setelah tiba di Labuan Uki pada Kamis, 3 Oktober 2024 pukul 22.00 WITA, kru kapal melakukan inspeksi pada hari Jumat, 4 Oktober 2024, dan menemukan tanda-tanda adanya perubahan pada pelat kapal, tepatnya di bagian tengah garis lambung atau Plimsoll Mark, baik di sisi kiri maupun kanan. Meskipun demikian, setelah membuka ruang kargo (Men Hold), kru tidak menemukan tanda-tanda kebocoran atau masuknya air.

Insiden besar terjadi pada hari Sabtu, 5 Oktober 2024, sekitar pukul 20.50 WITA, ketika tongkang mengalami patahan di bagian tengah garis lambung/Plimsoll Mark. Kejadian ini menyebabkan kerusakan signifikan pada kapal, namun tidak ada laporan lebih lanjut mengenai dampak lebih jauh atau tindakan penyelamatan yang diambil setelah insiden tersebut.

They discovered signs of deformation on the barge's plating, particularly in the middle of the hull line or Plimsoll Mark, on both the left and right sides. Despite this, after opening the cargo hold (Men Hold), the crew did not find any signs of leaks or water entering the hold.

A major incident occurred on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at around 8:50 PM local time, when the barge suffered a breakage in the middle of the hull line/Plimsoll Mark. This incident caused significant damage to the barge, but there are no further reports regarding the broader impact or rescue actions taken following the incident.

The latest information indicates that BG Trustline 306 broke in the anchoring area of PT. Conch North Sulawesi Cement, with the cargo still onboard the barge, awaiting its turn to dock for unloading.
