Labuan Bajo – Sebuah kapal speed boat, SB. OHANA, dengan callsign YBA 4413, mengalami kecelakaan pada Minggu, 6 Oktober 2024, sekitar pukul 15.00 WITA. Kapal yang berbendera Indonesia dengan berat 21 GT tersebut mengangkut 29 penumpang dan 4 ABK termasuk nahkoda, berangkat dari Labuan Bajo dengan tujuan Pulau Siaba.

Saat memasuki alur sempit di area diving Pulau Siaba, kapal terhantam arus kencang dari samping. Insiden ini menyebabkan kapal miring dan akhirnya terbalik. Beruntung, tidak ada korban jiwa maupun pencemaran yang terjadi akibat kecelakaan ini. Semua penumpang berhasil dievakuasi dengan selamat, dan kapal telah diamankan menggunakan mooring.

Proses Evakuasi Cepat dan Koordinasi Antar Lembaga
Tim emergency gabungan dari berbagai instansi segera dikerahkan untuk melakukan evakuasi. KSOP Kelas III Labuan Bajo, Basarnas, dan Satuan Polisi Air serta TNI AL turut berperan dalam operasi penyelamatan. Sebanyak 7 personel KSOP, 5 personel Basarnas, 2 personel dari Sat Polairud, dan 1 personel dari TNI AL bekerja sama di lokasi kejadian. Berkat koordinasi yang cepat dan efektif, seluruh penumpang berhasil diselamatkan tanpa mengalami luka-luka.

Labuan Bajo – A speed boat, SB. OHANA, with the callsign YBA 4413, was involved in an accident on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at around 15:00 WITA. The Indonesian-flagged vessel, weighing 21 GT, was carrying 29 passengers and 4 crew members, including the captain, departing from Labuan Bajo with a destination of Siaba Island.

While entering the narrow passage in the diving area near Siaba Island, the boat was hit by a strong side current. This incident caused the boat to tilt and eventually capsize. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or pollution resulting from this accident. All passengers were successfully evacuated safely, and the boat was secured using a mooring.

Rapid Evacuation Process and Interagency Coordination

A joint emergency team from various agencies was immediately deployed to carry out the evacuation. Labuan Bajo Class III Port Authority (KSOP), Basarnas, the Marine Police Unit, and the Indonesian Navy were involved in the rescue operation. A total of 7 KSOP personnel, 5 Basarnas personnel, 2 personnel from the Marine Police Unit, and 1 personnel from the Indonesian Navy worked together at the scene. Thanks to quick and effective coordination, all passengers were rescued without injury.
