Bima, 22 September 2024** – Kapal kargo KM ASIA GLORY 6 yang berlayar dari Dili, Timor Leste, menuju Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat, dilaporkan mengalami kandas di perairan sekitar Pelabuhan Bima pada 21 September 2024 sekitar pukul 19.00 WITA. Kapal dengan ukuran 100 meter dan berat 6191 GT ini dilaporkan kandas setelah melakukan manuver di alur pelabuhan untuk memberikan jalan kepada kapal lain, KM Sabuk Nusantara 49.
Sebelumnya, pada pukul 16.40 WITA, KM ASIA GLORY 6 mengirim telegram kepada PT. Pelni Cabang Bima, memperkirakan waktu tiba (ETA) di Pelabuhan Bima pada pukul 20.00 WITA. Berdasarkan data AIS dari SROP Bima, kapal bergerak dengan kecepatan 12,5 knot sebelum akhirnya kandas pada posisi 08° 04' 52.8"S – 119° 05' 09.5"E, berjarak sekitar 30 mil laut dari Pelabuhan Bima.
Menurut laporan dari SROP Bima, komunikasi terakhir antara KM ASIA GLORY 6 dan KM Sabuk Nusantara 49 terjadi saat kedua kapal berpapasan di alur pelabuhan. Dalam komunikasi tersebut, KM ASIA GLORY 6 memberikan prioritas kepada KM Sabuk Nusantara 49 untuk keluar dari alur terlebih dahulu, yang kemudian diikuti oleh manuver KM ASIA GLORY 6 ke kanan. Diperkirakan, kapal mengalami kandas saat melakukan manuver tersebut.
Setelah kejadian, pada pukul 19.10 WITA, petugas SROP Bima memantau bahwa KM ASIA GLORY 6 telah berhenti bergerak dengan kecepatan 0,0 knot. Kapal mengonfirmasi bahwa mereka dalam keadaan kandas. Muatan kapal dilaporkan nihil, dan kapal saat ini sedang diperiksa untuk mengetahui apakah ada indikasi kebocoran.
Petugas SROP Bima terus berkoordinasi dengan KSOP Bima dan PT. Pelni Cabang Bima sebagai agen kapal. Pada pukul 20.22 WITA, dilaporkan bahwa kapal mengalami kebocoran di Ballast dua, namun kondisi kapal masih dinyatakan aman. Saat ini, kapal belum bisa bergeser dari posisi kandasnya dan upaya lebih lanjut masih dilakukan.
Hingga berita ini diturunkan pada pagi hari 22 September 2024, upaya komunikasi dengan KM ASIA GLORY 6 terus dilakukan oleh petugas SROP Bima, namun kapal belum merespons. Kapal masih berada dalam posisi kandas, dan PT. Pelni Cabang Bima masih menunggu informasi terbaru mengenai perkembangan lebih lanjut.

Bima, 22 September 2024** - The cargo ship KM ASIA GLORY 6 sailing from Dili, Timor Leste, to Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, reportedly ran aground in the waters around Bima Harbour on 21 September 2024 at around 19.00 WITA. The 100-metre ship weighing 6191 GT reportedly ran aground after manoeuvring in the harbour channel to give way to another ship, KM Sabuk Nusantara 49.
Previously, at 16.40 WITA, KM ASIA GLORY 6 sent a telegram to PT Pelni Bima Branch, estimating the arrival time (ETA) at Bima Harbour at 20.00 WITA. Based on AIS data from SROP Bima, the ship was travelling at 12.5 knots before finally running aground at 08° 04' 52.8 “S - 119° 05” 09.5 ’E, approximately 30 nautical miles from Bima Harbour.
According to reports from SROP Bima, the last communication between KM ASIA GLORY 6 and KM Sabuk Nusantara 49 occurred when the two ships passed each other in the harbour channel. In the communication, KM ASIA GLORY 6 gave priority to KM Sabuk Nusantara 49 to exit the channel first, which was then followed by KM ASIA GLORY 6's manoeuvre to the right. It is estimated that the vessel ran aground during the manoeuvre.
After the incident, at 19.10 WITA, SROP Bima officers observed that KM ASIA GLORY 6 had stopped moving at 0.0 knots. The vessel confirmed that they were aground. The vessel's cargo was reported to be nil, and the vessel is currently being inspected for indications of leakage.
SROP Bima officers continue to coordinate with KSOP Bima and PT Pelni Bima Branch as the ship's agent. At 20.22 WITA, it was reported that the ship had a leak in Ballast two, but the ship's condition was still declared safe. Currently, the ship has not been able to shift from its aground position and further efforts are still being made.
Until this news was revealed on the morning of 22 September 2024, communication efforts with KM ASIA GLORY 6 continued to be made by Bima SROP officers, but the ship has not responded. The ship is still aground, and PT Pelni Bima Branch is still waiting for the latest information regarding further developments.
