INSIDEN KECELAKAAN TRUK REM BLONG DI PELABUHAN JANGKAR : TIDAK ADA KORBAN JIWA, KERUGIAN MATERIAL CAPAI RP 180 JUTA // TRUCK BRAKE FAILURE INCIDENT AT JANGKAR PORT: NO CASUALTIES, MATERIAL LOSSES ESTIMATED AT IDR 180 MILLION

Situbondo, 20 September 2024 – Pada Jumat pagi, pukul 07.50 WIB, Koordinator Wilayah Kerja (Wilker) Jangkar bersama sejumlah instansi terkait melaksanakan monitoring di Pelabuhan Jangkar, Situbondo. Kegiatan ini terganggu oleh sebuah insiden kecelakaan kendaraan truk yang mengalami rem blong saat pemuatan ke kapal penyeberangan KMP Munggiyango Hulalo, tujuan Pelabuhan Kangean, Madura.

Truk dengan nomor polisi AE 8188 UY, yang membawa bahan bangunan dan sembako, tiba-tiba mengalami rem blong saat berjalan mundur di ramdor dermaga. Truk tersebut kemudian menabrak sebuah mobil penumpang Toyota Rush berwarna putih dengan nomor polisi P 1128 VV yang sedang parkir di dermaga. Akibat benturan tersebut, mobil Rush mengalami kerusakan parah dan hampir jatuh ke laut karena tertimpa muatan truk.

Menurut laporan dari Koordinator Wilker Jangkar, Abdul Hamid, yang juga menjadi saksi dalam insiden ini, evakuasi segera dilakukan oleh tim gabungan dari Syahbandar Jangkar, ABK KMP Munggiyango Hulalo, dan instansi terkait lainnya. "Pada pukul 08.25 WIB, kami berhasil mengevakuasi kedua kendaraan dan memindahkan barang-barang yang menimpa mobil Rush," ujar Abdul Hamid.

Kronologi Kejadian: Insiden terjadi pada pukul 06.30 WIB saat monitoring keberangkatan KMP Munggiyango Hulalo. Sekitar pukul 07.50 WIB, truk yang sedang dimuat ke kapal mengalami rem blong dan menabrak mobil penumpang yang parkir di dermaga. Beruntung, tidak ada korban jiwa dalam kejadian ini, namun kerugian materil diperkirakan mencapai Rp 180.000.000.

Langkah-langkah penanganan yang dilakukan Syahbandar Jangkar:

  1. Mendatangi lokasi kejadian (TKP) segera setelah insiden terjadi.
  2. Mengaktifkan tim SAR dan bekerja sama dengan instansi terkait.
  3. Melaksanakan evakuasi kendaraan yang terlibat kecelakaan.
  4. Berkoordinasi dengan pihak kapal terkait pengurusan asuransi.
  5. Melaporkan kejadian kepada pimpinan untuk tindak lanjut.

Hingga berita ini diturunkan, pihak Syahbandar Jangkar masih melakukan investigasi lebih lanjut terkait insiden tersebut. KMP Munggiyango Hulalo telah kembali beroperasi setelah proses evakuasi selesai, dan pelayanan di Pelabuhan Jangkar kembali normal.

Situbondo, September 20, 2024 – On Friday morning, at 07:50 WIB, the Jangkar Work Area Coordinator (Wilker), together with several related agencies, conducted a monitoring operation at Jangkar Port, Situbondo. This activity was interrupted by an accident involving a truck that experienced brake failure while loading onto the ferry KMP Munggiyango Hulalo, en route to Kangean Port, Madura.

The truck, with license plate AE 8188 UY, carrying building materials and groceries, suddenly experienced brake failure while reversing on the port's ramp. It collided with a white Toyota Rush passenger vehicle, license plate P 1128 VV, parked on the ramp. Due to the impact, the Rush was severely damaged and almost fell into the sea after being struck and pinned by the truck's load.

According to a report from the Jangkar Work Area Coordinator, Abdul Hamid, who was also a witness to the incident, an immediate evacuation was carried out by a joint team consisting of the Jangkar Harbourmaster, the crew of KMP Munggiyango Hulalo, and other relevant agencies. "At 08:25 WIB, we successfully evacuated both vehicles and moved the goods that had fallen onto the Toyota Rush," said Abdul Hamid.

Incident Chronology: The accident occurred at 06:30 WIB, during a monitoring session of KMP Munggiyango Hulalo's departure. At approximately 07:50 WIB, the truck, while being loaded onto the ferry, experienced brake failure and collided with a parked passenger car on the port's ramp. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, though material losses are estimated to reach IDR 180 million.

Actions taken by the Jangkar Harbourmaster:

  1. Immediately arrived at the accident site.
  2. Activated the existing SAR team, with assistance from relevant agencies.
  3. Evacuated the vehicles involved in the brake failure incident.
  4. Coordinated with the ferry and insurance providers.
  5. Reported the incident to superiors for further policy decisions.

As of this report, the Jangkar Harbourmaster is still conducting further investigations into the incident. The KMP Munggiyango Hulalo resumed operations after the evacuation process, and services at Jangkar Port have returned to normal.
