Insiden 3 (Tiga) Orang Jatuh ke Laut di Sekitar Tanjung Berakit / Incident of Three People Falling into the Sea (Man Over Boat) Near Tanjung Berakit
Pada tanggal 31 Mei 2024, VTS Batam menerima laporan dari Kantor SAR Tanjungpinang mengenai insiden jatuhnya tiga orang ke laut di sekitar perairan Tanjung Berakit. Kejadian ini Bermula Pada pukul 10.00 LT, kapal MT. Harsanadi yang berada di sekitar lokasi kejadian mendeteksi adanya tiga orang yang mengapung di laut sekitar 200 meter di sebelah kiri kapal, tepatnya di koordinat 01°34.36' N dan 104°48.30' E. MT. Harsanadi segera melaporkan temuan ini kepada VTS Batam.
Ketiga orang tersebut terpantau hanyut dari arah selatan ke utara. MT. Harsanadi segera mengirimkan informasi kepada kapal-kapal di sekitar lokasi untuk melakukan upaya penyelamatan terhadap korban-korban tersebut. Dua kapal yang berada di sekitar lokasi yaitu MT. Globe Trinco dan MT. Gas Wave berhasil menyelamatkan dua dari tiga korban. Kedua korban berhasil diangkat ke atas kapal, namun satu orang korban lainnya tidak berhasil diselamatkan dan terus hanyut terbawa arus.
Dua korban yang berhasil diselamatkan ditemukan dalam keadaan selamat dengan kondisi kelelahan. Mereka berhasil diselamatkan oleh dua kapal yang berbeda. Korban pertama diselamatkan oleh kapal MT. Gas Wave di koordinat 01°35.5' N dan 104°47.2' E pada sekitar pukul 11.42 LT, sedangkan korban kedua diselamatkan oleh kapal MT. Globe Trinco di koordinat 01°36.1' N dan 104°47.5' E pada sekitar pukul 11.00 LT.
Basarnas menginformasikan bahwa tim penyelamat mereka diperkirakan akan tiba di lokasi kejadian sekitar tiga jam setelah laporan diterima. Upaya pencarian dan penyelamatan terhadap korban yang masih hanyut terus dilakukan oleh kapal-kapal di sekitar lokasi.

On May 31, 2024, VTS Batam received a report from the Tanjungpinang SAR Office regarding an incident where three people fell into the sea near the waters of Tanjung Berakit. The incident began at 10:00 LT when the MT. Harsanadi, which was near the location, detected three people floating in the sea approximately 200 meters to the left of the ship, precisely at coordinates 01°34.36' N and 104°48.30' E. MT. Harsanadi immediately reported this finding to VTS Batam.
The three individuals were observed drifting from south to north. MT. Harsanadi promptly relayed this information to nearby vessels to initiate rescue efforts. Two ships in the vicinity, MT. Globe Trinco and MT. Gas Wave, successfully rescued two of the three victims. The two rescued victims were brought aboard the ships, but one victim could not be saved and continued to drift away with the current.
The two rescued victims were found in a state of exhaustion but otherwise safe. They were rescued by two different vessels. The first victim was saved by MT. Gas Wave at coordinates 01°35.5' N and 104°47.2' E at approximately 11:42 LT, while the second victim was rescued by MT. Globe Trinco at coordinates 01°36.1' N and 104°47.5' E at around 11:00 LT.
Basarnas reported that their rescue team is expected to arrive at the incident location about three hours after the report was received. Search and rescue efforts for the victim still adrift are ongoing, with assistance from nearby vessels.
