Pada tanggal : 21 April 2024, Pukul 17.30 LT Benoa VTS Menerima Informasi Dari MT HIPPO callsign JZYY bahwa telah terjadinya kerusakan pada mesin kapal pada posisi Latitude 08°21.938'S Longitude 115°52.854’ E Pukul 17.30 LT MT HIPPO menyampaikan keadaan kapal saat ini sedang berusaha untuk melakukan perbaikan mesin yang mengalami kerusakan.
Pukul : 17. 35 LT, Benoa VTS telah menyiarkan berita keselamatan di CH.16 dan memantau kapal kapal yang berada disekitar kapal MT HIPPO Pukul : 20.18 LT posisi MT HIPPO pada Latitude 08°23’30.31” Longitude 115°5212.80
22 April 2024 :
Pukul : 08.16 LT Benoa VTS menerima informasi bahwa MT HIPPO masih dalam keadaan trouble main engine dengan status drifting dan menunggu bantuan towing tujuan Nusa Penida.
Pukul : 11.05 LT Overseas Petromar bergerak dari Pelabuhan Tanjung Manggis menuju posisi MT. HIPPO untuk pengiriman spare parts.
Pukul : 17.21 LT Berdasarkan Informasi dari Overseas Petromar Melalui CH 68, MT Hippo Sudah Berlabuh jangkar pada Posisi Latitude 08°42’18.61” Longitude 115°17’57.99” dengan kondisi masih perbaikan mesin.
Pukul : 17.50 LT MT Hippo Kembali hanyut ke arah Selatan dengan kecepatan 4 knots
Pukul : 18.20 LT MT hippo melintang OB (outer buoy) Benoa dengan arah dan kecepatan yang sama
Pukul : 19.00 LT MT Hippo Kembali berkomunikasi dengan Benoa VTS, MT Hippo emergency labuh jangkar 10 seckel di air. Kondisi MT Hippo masih terus hanyut ke arah Selatan dengan kecepatan 2,5 knots. Perwakilan Perusahaan An. Bapak jusman dengan Nomor telpon 0852 9992 2301 berencana akan melakukan visit langsung menuju MT. Hippo.

Pukul 00.15 LT MT Hippo mulai bergerak menuju anchorage area Pelabuhan Benoa
Pukul 03.12 LT Benoa VTS berkomunikasi dengan MT Hippo ch 16/68, bahwa MT Hippo telah berlabuh jangkar pada posisi yang aman Latitude 08°46.974’ S Longitude 115°15.314’ E

At 17:30 LT, MT HIPPO reported that the vessel was attempting to repair the damaged engine. At 17:35 LT, Benoa VTS broadcasted a safety message on CH.16 and monitored vessels around MT HIPPO.
At 20:18 LT, the position of MT HIPPO was Latitude 08°23’30.31” Longitude 115°5212.80.
On April 22, 2024:
At 08:16 LT, Benoa VTS received information that MT HIPPO was still experiencing trouble with the main engine, drifting, and awaiting towing assistance to Nusa Penida.
At 11:05 LT, Overseas Petromar departed from Tanjung Manggis Port to deliver spare parts to MT. HIPPO.
At 17:21 LT, based on information from Overseas Petromar via CH 68, MT Hippo had anchored at Latitude 08°42’18.61” Longitude 115°17’57.99” with ongoing engine repairs.
At 17:50 LT, MT Hippo drifted southward at a speed of 4 knots.
At 18:20 LT, MT Hippo crossed the outer buoy (OB) of Benoa in the same direction and speed.
At 19:00 LT, MT Hippo communicated again with Benoa VTS, reporting an emergency anchoring 10 seckel in the water. The vessel continued to drift southward at a speed of 2.5 knots. A representative of the company, Mr. Jusman, with phone number 0852 9992 2301, planned to visit MT. Hippo directly.

At 00:15 LT, MT Hippo began moving towards the anchorage area of Benoa Port.
