Pulau Sambu 19 Maret 2024 Pukul 11.32 LT VTS Batam mendapatkan Laporan dari Kapal ''Red Snaper'' di lokasi 1°10'35.0"N 103°52'59.8"E telah ditemukan Mayat yang terapung dilepas pantai dekat perairan Pulau Sambu (Batam).
VTS Batam telah meneruskan informasi tersebut kepada pihak Basarnas, dan stakholder lainya. Pada saat ini Basarnas telah memproses Laporan dan Menindak Lanjuti laporan tersebut. Informasi terkait mayat tersebut belum diketahui secara pasti.
